When Life Requires Strength

Life.  It's not for the faint of heart.  It takes strength and pulling it up from the depths time and time and time again.  It is having the opportunity to be strong when we ask for strength.  Remember that Morgan Freeman scene from the movie Evan Almighty?!  If not, watch it  HERE!   You're welcome!  I didn't think I was praying for strength but whatever I've been praying for, I'm getting the opportunity to embody it.

I had the opportunity to have dinner with a really great friend this past weekend who has been there for me in countless ways over the past 4-5 years.  Truly through thick and thin.  He's not perfect but he's been the perfect friend.  After dinner we were texting and he was giving me a good pep talk, like he does, and telling me how strong I was and have been, and how proud of me he is and to be happy and have fun...you know, all the good feel stuff.  I was feeling so overwhelmingly grateful for our friendship and posted on FB

"Friendships are priceless"

He invited me over to just hang and watch movies so I took him up on it.  While watching one of the movies, a line jumped out at me.  The character literally said,  "Friendships are priceless."  I was like, "WHAT?!"  I saw it as a sign.

The next day, unknown to me, my friend showed me just how good a friendship we have.  I really can't go into details, but he stood up for me and took one for the team in ways that I still cannot quite wrap my head around and I just.can't.even.

Why am I telling you all of this?!  Because.  Friendships are priceless.  Because the Universe will go out of its way to push you along and help you find the strength you need to go on b/c you are inspired by the strength of another.  Because you gotta dig deep and do it because you know someone believes in you and is counting on you to be strong.  And because the Universe talks to you in movies....so pay attention!!!  ;)

Life.  It's not for the faint of heart.  But your heart is strong.  Trust that.  If you don't, no one will.
