The image of the Divine Mother is an ancient one with deep roots in Egypt.  This is a course to celebrate mothers whether you are a mother or simply have a mother.  It is open to mothers, children, mothers-to-be, grandmothers, aunts, godmothers...ages 16-99.

We will discuss the role of mothers in our lives and celebrate with laughter, stories, sharing, journaling, and offerings.  We will learn of some of the mothers of Ancient Egypt and what some of their stories and experiences have to teach us.

Mothers can be amazing.  They can be strong, lovely, perfect and we can place them on a throne from childhood because we love them so much.  That being said, however, we can sometimes forget that they are human, too, and have feelings of vulnerability, low self-esteem, and feel less than perfect.  And they make mistakes.  And they fail.  And they try again.  They fulfill our wildest expectations and let us down just as hard.  It's not easy being a mother.
